Where Passion Meets Punk Precision in Filmmaking
Little Spark Films (LSF) was built on boldness and innovation. With nothing but a vision and a week to execute, the team produced their first short film—a raw, passionate project that was accepted, even without the awards. That was the spark that ignited a commitment to pushing boundaries.
Now, LSF stands at the intersection of creativity and professionalism, offering a distinct “punk filmmaking” approach. It’s about more than just crafting films—it’s about taking risks, challenging conventions, and delivering fresh perspectives. From high-end sets for major productions to bespoke shoots for local businesses and independent musicians across the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, LSF has earned a reputation for producing high-quality, distinctive content.
With a focus on delivering standout work, Little Spark Films provides clients with innovative filmmaking solutions that are both artistic and precise, while always staying true to the rebellious spirit that started it all.
Our Story
Over the years, Little Spark Films has had the privilege of collaborating with some of the most talented and intriguing individuals in the entertainment industry. Our journey has taken us from behind the scenes of The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs to the director's chair, where we've worked with legends like Lloyd Kaufman, Kevin Gage, Isaiah Washington, Lou Temple, and Fangoria icon Kerry O’Quinn.
Our most recent project, The Torturer, is a gripping short film written by the acclaimed horror novelist Paul Kane. This intense exploration of an interrogation filled with nightmares and trauma has quickly become one of our proudest achievements. Featuring outstanding performances from Texas-based actors Paul T. Taylor and Lawrence Varnado, the film is a testament to our commitment to high-caliber storytelling.
Shot in stunning 6K by director of photography Jörg Viktor Steins-Lauß, The Torturer showcases a haunting visual style that perfectly complements its dark narrative. Directed by Joe Manco, the film embodies our unique creative sensibility and fearless approach to filmmaking.
At Little Spark Films, we pride ourselves on our ability to collaborate with a diverse range of talent and bring bold, innovative projects to life. We’re excited to continue working with some of the most compelling figures in the industry as we push boundaries and redefine storytelling.
“The ambiguous nature of the story is the fuel for the cinematic, wildfire. As soon as we are drawn into the passionate queries of the Torturer, we are smashed in the face with some of the best, lower-budget torture effects I’ve seen. Far from being “torture-porn” the violence takes you right to the edge of unbearably gruesome, only to let you breathe for a bit, before the next round. This is the kind of ebb and flow that genre films have lacked for far too long.”
