It’s equal parts Scooby-Doo, The Residence, Wednesday, The Killing, and True Detective. While the themes are dark in Bridgette Wrona, the violence is not glorified or overtly depicted. The entertainment comes from the performances, as well as the film’s tone and atmosphere.
SYNOPSIS
Bridgette Wrona is a true crime enthusiast in a time of YouTubers and social media influencers. She travels the country solving cases that range from cold cases to very current murders. We are dropped into her latest case, THE WHISPER CREEK MURDERS.
From 1998 to 2001, seven women were murdered in the small forest town of Whisper Creek by a killer who called themself The Flower King. Bridgette has zeroed in on this cold case, and descends upon the town to investigate. However, shortly after she arrives, the murders resume, and she must help put a stop to the killings.
